Just across from the house there is the Thai Terre Restaurant, absolutely delicious! Plus, there is popular cocktail bar is only a few more doors down. You’ll find Picture House Restaurant a little further down the street, which also hosts many fun events, such as live music and murder mystery.

If your looking for a country pub, with and open fire we’d recommend the White Hart in Buxted. There is a beautiful walk from the house, through the woods and along the river to get there, with two open fires, a garden space and fabulous food, it’s definitely one of our favourites. There are so many amazing local pubs, but the Peacock and the Blackboys Inn are where you can experience some English history and culture.
